Saltie Girl
About
Beyond curating one of the largest tinned seafood collection in New England, Sidell and McClelland prepare such dishes as fried lobster and waffles with sweet corn butter and spicy maple syrup and French burgundy snails with black garlic butter to name a few. Chowder, bisque, an amazing raw bar, fried whole belly Ipswich clams and lobster rolls by the ounce are on the menu.
The restaurant boasts a full bar featuring specially curated wines, beers and spirits as well as an innovative cocktail menu with drinks like “Pineapple” – Elyx, lemongrass and citrus soda (for 2) and many more.
3% Kitchen Administration Fee
To our valued family & guests,
We have added a 3% kitchen appreciation fee (based on food sales) to the guest check which directly benefits our back of the house staff, following a model many other restaurants in Boston & the country have adopted to promote a better quality of life for staff & distribution of wages.
As an integral part of our daily operations, our BOH staff allows us to consistently provide the high quality food and service experience which we strive to deliver daily. Implementing this admin fee is the first step in improving the lives of our employees and goes a long way towards recognizing their hard work and dedication.
Over the years, the wage gap between FOH & BOH staff has increasingly widened. Currently, under Massachusetts law, BOH staff are exempt from the tip-pool. While raising menu prices is an option, we as a company do not believe it is an equitable, fair, or sustainable solution – for either our employees or valued patrons.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support, and we hope you align with our values and commitment to our team. This fee is not mandatory, and can be removed upon request.

Reviews
The sea urchin crudo was to die for. Buttery uni, runny quail egg and
bursting caviar in your mouth become an explosion of flavors that's
remarkable. Torched salmon belly was also great. You can see them make
it from scratch if you sit at the bar.

Saltie Girl may be scoffed at because of its small capacity and long
wait times... but it is SOOOOOOOO worth it!!!! The food is a thing of
dreams for seafood lovers. It's a blend of comfort (fried) coastal
options, raw and crudos, classic New England and coastal dishes, and
whimsical creations by the chef that may sound odd but work in a
magical way.

Snow Crab Toast with avocado, pistachios, and stracciatella - wow.
This...destroyed every other 'toast' I've had or even heard of. Good
lord, this was faaaaantastic. They do not skimp on any of the
ingredients here, plenty of fresh, delicious crab, loads of
avocado...just wow. Did I say wow too many times already? Because
that's all I got. That damn good.

This is the best restaurant I ate while in Boston! Salmon belly app
was so unique and tasty! Must try. I also ordered the char and it was
the best seafood dish I've had in a while. Everything is very fresh,
seasoned and the dishes design with a flare you won't find elsewhere.

This place completely stole my heart. It was the first meal my
boyfriend and I had during our first trip to Boston a year ago, and
everything from the service to the food was so great.

Great clam chowder. Class of its own essentially. It's so smooth and
rich. The bacon they use is essentially chunks of pork belly. The
clams are fresh with the shell in it. And it's just delicious.

I think I had the best meal of my life here on Wednesday night.
